Production is configured to use TLS while files travel over the network. At-rest controls depend on the deployed storage provider and must be verified by the operator. Password protection and guest-link expiry add application-level controls; they are not client-held encryption.
Eligible remote-storage uploads can use multipart transfer so an interrupted part can be retried. A same-origin relay is available when a direct storage request cannot be completed. Actual speed depends on the browser, network, hosting, and configured storage provider.
No account or credit card is required for guest uploads up to 100 MB per file.
