Workflow guide
File delivery for freelancers
A professional handoff is easier when the client knows what the files are, how long the link works, and what to do next. FileShareFast gives freelancers a compact upload-and-link flow for supported deliverables without requiring recipients to install an application.
Reviewed
Build a self-explanatory handoff
Name the share after the project and milestone, then add a short description that explains the included formats. If the client must review before using the files, say so clearly. Avoid exposing client names or confidential details in a public title.
A ZIP archive can preserve a folder structure, while separate files can be easier to preview. Pick the format that reduces recipient effort and remains within the displayed per-file limit.
Separate delivery from permanence
A transfer link is not the same as a long-term client archive. Tell the client when the link expires and where final records should live. Keep your own authoritative project backup according to your agreement.
- Use versioned, readable filenames.
- Explain the next action in the share description.
- Confirm receipt instead of relying only on a counter.
A practical workflow

Prepare
Remove working files the client does not need and label the final set.
Step 2
Choose access
Use password protection for confidential or paid deliverables where appropriate.
Step 3

State what is included, the version, and the access deadline.
Step 4
Confirm
Ask the client to acknowledge a successful download and then clean up the link.
Common questions
Does a download count prove client acceptance?
No. Confirm approval or acceptance through the process defined in your agreement.
Should FileShareFast be my only backup?
No. Keep an authoritative backup in a system suited to your retention requirements.
Can clients download without an account?
Recipients can open eligible share links without creating an account; access controls still apply.
