How to upload files and create a share link

FileShareFast uploads a file once and returns a link you can send through email, chat, or another channel. Review the file, access choice, and finished link before you send it.

Before you begin

• Check that every file is within the displayed per-file limit. The current guest and free limit is 100 MB per file.
• Use a stable connection and keep the browser tab open until the page confirms that the share link is ready.
• Avoid putting secrets or sensitive personal data in the share title or file name.

Upload step by step

1. Open the upload page.
2. Drag files into the upload area, tap the area on a mobile device, or use the file picker.
3. Review each file name and size. Remove anything you did not intend to include.
4. Add an optional title that recipients will recognize without revealing private information.
5. Choose an access level. Public and unlisted links can be opened by anyone who has the URL. Private access requires a signed-in account. Password access asks recipients for the share password.
6. If you choose password access, enter at least six characters and plan to send the password separately from the URL.
7. Select Create link and wait through upload and finalization. A progress bar reaching 100% is not the final confirmation; wait for the resulting share page.
8. Open the finished link in a private browser window to confirm that its access gate and files look correct.

If the upload stops

Read the error shown on the page before retrying. A failure can happen while preparing the upload, transferring bytes, or finalizing the share. Check your connection, confirm the file is still within the published limit, and retry only after the current attempt has stopped.

If the same file fails repeatedly, use the contact form and include the stage shown in the error. Do not paste passwords, storage credentials, or private share contents into the message.

Common questions

Can I close the tab when the progress bar reaches 100%?

Wait until FileShareFast confirms finalization and displays the share link. Closing earlier can interrupt the step that records the completed upload.

How long does a guest link remain available?

Guest links currently expire after 14 days. A recipient may keep a downloaded copy, so expiry cannot recall a file that was already downloaded.

Does creating a password encrypt the file in my browser?
