Open Graph image resizer (1200 × 630)

Link previews look best with a 1.91:1 image at 1200 × 630 pixels under 1 MB. This tool crops your photo or artwork to that frame, lets you choose which part stays visible, and keeps the result small enough for every platform.

Output

JPG · 85% · ≤ 1000 KB

75–85 is visually lossless for most photos; lower values trade detail for bytes.

1 KB = 1,000 bytes. A strict target may lower quality and then dimensions; the final size is measured, not estimated.

How to use this tool

  1. 1Add the image you want as a link preview.
  2. 2Choose which part of the picture to keep when it is cropped to 1.91:1.
  3. 3Generate, then reference the file in your page's og:image and twitter:image tags.

Before you download

  • Keep important text away from the edges; some platforms crop a further 5–10% in feeds.
  • JPG at quality 85 is ideal for photographs; use PNG only for flat graphics with text.
  • Upscaling is enabled because platforms require the full 1200 px width, but a source narrower than 600 px will look soft.

Typical uses

  • Blog post and landing page social previews.
  • Product launch announcements shared on LinkedIn.
  • Event pages shared in Slack and Discord.

Your images stay on your device

This page processes images with your browser's canvas. Files are not uploaded to FileShareFast or anyone else, and your originals are never modified. Sharing is a separate, deliberate step: nothing is sent until you continue to the upload page and create a link yourself.

Re-encoding writes pixel data only, so EXIF and other metadata are not copied into outputs. Animated images are processed from their first frame. Check important images before submitting or printing them.

Frequently asked questions

Why 1200 × 630?

It is the size Facebook recommends for high-resolution previews and is accepted by LinkedIn, X (as summary_large_image), Slack, Discord, and WhatsApp. One file therefore serves every platform.

Is there a file size limit for Open Graph images?

Facebook accepts up to 8 MB and X up to 5 MB, but large images slow down the unfurl and may be skipped by some crawlers. The default 1,000 KB target keeps every platform comfortable.

Can I add text to the image?

Not here; this tool crops and resizes an existing design. Create the artwork in a design tool, export it, and use this page to guarantee the exact dimensions and size.
