Rotate images 90°, 180°, or 270°
Photos shot in portrait sometimes appear sideways because the viewer ignores orientation data. Rotating the actual pixels fixes the problem everywhere, and you can flip the image at the same time.
How to use this tool
- 1Add the images that are the wrong way up.
- 2Choose 90° clockwise, 180°, or 270° (90° anticlockwise), and optionally a flip.
- 3Process, confirm the preview, and download.
Before you download
- The browser applies the camera's orientation tag before rotating, so what you see in the preview is what you get.
- Rotating by 90° or 270° swaps the width and height; the result card shows the new dimensions.
- Choose PNG or quality 100 if you need to avoid any re-compression of a JPG.
Typical uses
- Fixing phone photos that upload sideways to a CMS.
- Turning a landscape scan into portrait orientation.
- Flipping a selfie so text reads correctly.
- Accepts
- JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF
- Produces
- JPG, PNG, WebP
Your images stay on your device
This page processes images with your browser's canvas. Files are not uploaded to FileShareFast or anyone else, and your originals are never modified. Sharing is a separate, deliberate step: nothing is sent until you continue to the upload page and create a link yourself.
Re-encoding writes pixel data only, so EXIF and other metadata are not copied into outputs. Animated images are processed from their first frame. Check important images before submitting or printing them.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my photo show sideways on some devices?
Cameras store an orientation flag in EXIF data instead of rotating the pixels. Some software honours the flag and some does not. Rotating the pixels here and re-encoding removes the ambiguity.
Is rotating a JPG lossless?
Not through the canvas: the image is decoded and re-encoded, so a small amount of compression loss occurs at quality below 100. Choose PNG for a lossless result.
Can I rotate by an arbitrary angle?
This tool offers 90-degree steps, which cover orientation fixes without introducing empty corners. Arbitrary angles need a crop afterwards and are not supported here.
