Resize images for social media
Each network wants a different shape. Pick the platform preset, decide which part of the photo stays in frame, and produce correctly sized images without guessing at pixel values.
How to use this tool
- 1Add your photos.
- 2Choose a platform preset; the width, height, and crop ratio are filled in for you.
- 3Pick the crop position, process, and download one file or the whole batch.
Before you download
- Platform recommendations change. The presets reflect published guidance at the time of the last review; check the platform if an exact size matters.
- Instagram compresses uploads again, so a quality of 85–90 avoids visible double compression.
- Choose 'top' crop for portraits and 'centre' for landscapes and products.
Typical uses
- Preparing a product photo for Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
- Creating YouTube thumbnails from video stills.
- Resizing a team photo for a LinkedIn banner.

Your images stay on your device
This page processes images with your browser's canvas. Files are not uploaded to FileShareFast or anyone else, and your originals are never modified. Sharing is a separate, deliberate step: nothing is sent until you continue to the upload page and create a link yourself.
Re-encoding writes pixel data only, so EXIF and other metadata are not copied into outputs. Animated images are processed from their first frame. Check important images before submitting or printing them.
Frequently asked questions
Which size does Instagram use?
1080 × 1080 for square posts, 1080 × 1350 for portrait posts, and 1080 × 1920 for stories and reels covers. The presets include all three.
Why does the tool upscale small images here?
Platforms scale images to their fixed dimensions anyway. Doing it once here, with the crop you chose, gives a predictable result; the card flags upscaled outputs so you can pick a larger source if the image looks soft.
Can I process photos for several platforms at once?
Run the batch once per preset. Each run takes a few seconds and all files download as a ZIP.
