Favicon generator
A favicon set needs several exact sizes and a legacy ICO file. Upload a square logo (or let the tool crop one), choose an optional background and corner radius, and download every file with the matching HTML snippet.
How to use this tool
- 1Add a logo at least 512 × 512 pixels; larger images are cropped to a square.
- 2Optionally set a background colour (Apple touch icons have no transparency) and rounded corners.
- 3Generate, preview each size, and download the ZIP containing the icons and HTML tags.
Before you download
- Test the 16 × 16 preview: fine details disappear at that size, so simple shapes work best.
- iOS ignores transparency on the 180 px touch icon and shows black; set a background colour if your logo is transparent.
- The ICO contains 16, 32, and 48 pixel images stored as PNG, which every current browser and Windows 10/11 understand.
Typical uses
- Launching a new website or web app.
- Replacing a blurry legacy favicon.ico.
- Producing PWA icons alongside the browser favicon.
- Accepts
- PNG, SVG-exported PNG, JPG, WebP (square or any shape; 512 px or larger recommended)
- Produces
- favicon.ico, PNG icons at 16–512 px, HTML snippet
Your images stay on your device
This page processes images with your browser's canvas. Files are not uploaded to FileShareFast or anyone else, and your originals are never modified. Sharing is a separate, deliberate step: nothing is sent until you continue to the upload page and create a link yourself.
Re-encoding writes pixel data only, so EXIF and other metadata are not copied into outputs. Animated images are processed from their first frame. Check important images before submitting or printing them.
Frequently asked questions
Which files do I actually need?
Modern sites need favicon.ico (for legacy and browser tab fallbacks), a 32 px PNG, apple-touch-icon.png at 180 px, and 192/512 px PNGs referenced from a web app manifest. The ZIP includes all of them plus an HTML snippet.
Can I upload an SVG?
Not directly. Export the SVG to a 512 px or 1024 px PNG from your design tool first; this keeps the rendering identical across browsers.
Why is the ICO so small?
The ICO stores PNG-compressed images rather than uncompressed bitmaps, so a three-size ICO is usually under 20 KB.
