Convert JPG to PNG

Some design tools, print services, and upload forms insist on PNG. This tool decodes your JPG and writes an exact PNG copy so no further compression is applied during later edits.

How to use this tool

  1. 1Add the JPG files that need to become PNG.
  2. 2Optionally enter a maximum width or height to limit the PNG size.
  3. 3Convert and download; there is no quality setting because PNG is lossless.

Before you download

  • Converting to PNG does not add transparency. Use an editor to remove the background first, then convert.
  • Expect the PNG to be several times larger than the JPG; that is the cost of lossless storage.
  • If you only need a smaller file, use the compress tool instead of converting.

Typical uses

  • Logo uploads that require PNG.
  • Preparing a photo for layered editing.
  • Print-on-demand platforms that reject JPG.

Your images stay on your device

This page processes images with your browser's canvas. Files are not uploaded to FileShareFast or anyone else, and your originals are never modified. Sharing is a separate, deliberate step: nothing is sent until you continue to the upload page and create a link yourself.

Re-encoding writes pixel data only, so EXIF and other metadata are not copied into outputs. Animated images are processed from their first frame. Check important images before submitting or printing them.

Frequently asked questions

Does JPG to PNG improve quality?

No. The PNG stores the decoded JPG pixels exactly, including any existing artifacts. The benefit is that subsequent edits and saves will not degrade the image further.

Why would a form require PNG?

PNG guarantees lossless storage and supports transparency, so logo uploads, print-on-demand services, and some document systems standardise on it.

Can I make the PNG smaller?

Reduce the pixel dimensions with the resize fields. PNG has no quality setting, so dimensions are the only lever.
